Caitlin Maling

Caitlin Maling is a WA poet with five books published, the most recent of which is Spore or Seed, which was shortlisted for the Kenneth Slessor Award in the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. Her sixth book, Midwest, is due out in 2026 with Upswell Publishing. She teaches creative writing at Curtin University. Her work has also been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, the WA Premier’s Book Awards, the Newcastle Poetry Prize, the Gwen Harwood Prize and she has received the John Marsden Prize and the Val Vallis Award.
